Question:
Can I roast a whole winter squash?
— Necia Liles
Answer:
You can it doesn't even have to be whole so roasting it indoors. I don't think you're just cut the butternut squash directly in half lengthwise is absolutely wonderful put it cut side down on a sheet right your absolutely good to go. I would even put a little bit of water in the bottom of the roasting pan as that will help. It steam through as well as protect your baking pan a little bit as well. Especially if you're using like a 10 baking pan something like that. Help it from getting burned or scorched. So you get 100% yield out of it. But sure when roasting things I do. I would prick the skin just a little bit. Hey that helps especially if you're roasting something whole is you don't want it to cook on evenly or you want to give opportunity for steam to escape so that you don't end up with any vegetables blowing up on you Which is not really. a danger here, but I'm just saying it.
