Question:

Are there any tricks to make the seasoning adhere to popcorn besides cooking with oil?

— Roy Doernhofer

Answer:

Yeah, right. I also ran into this problem years and years ago because trying to cook popcorn about oil going to an air poppers. Definitely the easiest way to go. Now what I do is I take a little spray bottle of foods, they spray bottle and fill it with Tamari. And you can also reduce the amount of sodium on this or the flavor to worry by also just having that with water so half water half tamari in your little tiny spray bottle. And then when you pour out your popcorn from your from your air fryer just do a quick spray over the top toss it spray it again and then put your seasoning on and then the popcorn has something to stick to it's also adding a little bit of sodium to it, but that's probably the best way that I've ever found to be able to make that happen and you get the seasoning to be able to work now again, because there is a sodium count content for this I typically will make different seasoning recipes using no salt at all just to be able to get those now you could just use a water mix as well too. But I just like the tamari flavor just adds a little bit more to it, but you could probably just do the water as well. Just make sure you do a very light spray and you're not just soaking the popcorn because in the popcorn is melt down on you. It's just fine. Mist of you know liquid through a spray bottle over. works perfectly
