Question:

Have you any ideas on coffee substitutes? I'm looking for a satisfying alternative.

— Lorraine McNEAL

Answer:

So that really is a personal preference. There are a lot of different coffees substitutes that are out of the market now and I've seen a lot of these you're like mud and ads and stuff like that which I've never tried before myself, but they're typically like a mushroom, you know kind of substitution as well like that, but there are some other things that you can do out there that have been out in the market for a while. I'm trying to think of the the brand of it. Let me find out real quick. But there are some that have been around for a long time. I think it's good. It's called payroll is one of those and there's herbal coffees that are a lot of different brands that are out there as well too. Now there are here's the other one is chicory. So chicory root is the one that I've seen most often people use as a coffee replacer now, it's not going to taste exactly like coffee because the beans taste completely different, you know from coffee beans, but those are probably some of my best Alternatives now if you're just getting rid of coffee because you know, it's probably the high caffeine content of it. I actually switched off of coffee a long time ago. By switching to tea. And at first I switched to black tea. And then started reducing the amount of tea bags I used right. So I typically eat drink iced tea and and I used to use just a standard ratio for iced tea that you would do and then I started reducing the amount of tea bags. I used per the amount of water, right so it would be instead of like Two big T bags for a picture of water. I would use just one tea bag for a picture of water and then, you know keep that going down until I switched to a green tea. I have since then gone back to black tea. I'm actually drinking black tea right now, but I still do the same technique where I use more water to a single tea bag to be able to make that make it so it's less caffeinated at the same time. But if you're looking just for something to be able to transition out the chicory coffee is definitely something you know chai tea would be something that would be too nice to but again if you're looking for the substitute for caffeine that does still have caffeine it as well. So switching over to something like a green tea might be able to be your best route for that. I hope that helps learning.
