Question:

What are your favorite shortcuts for WFPB (whole foods plant based) food prep?

— Muriel Lanford

Answer:

So as I alluded to earlier, I think that one of the one of the best Ways to be able to do that is by prepping ahead a little bit. So if you chop up all your ingredients on like the weekend before your week, you have everything kind of on hand to be able to cook really easy, especially when you're cooking for one that can be life-changing. I'm planning on some meals that have similar ingredients, you know, so a lot of meals might have onions in them or red peppers or something, so you can cut those things up ahead of time now if you're looking to get something like cabbage, it's an ingredient. So say if you're doing a stir fry a lot of stores will sell you part of the Cabbage instead of the whole thing. So I know like it Whole Foods and like sprouts and different places like that. If you actually go and ask one of the team members there, they'll actually help cut the quarter out of a out of one of those they can just buy it, you know, it's bought by weight so you can buy a smaller piece of that too. So having things like that or great to be able to do just prepping ahead a little bit in your refrigerator is really going to help shorten your amount of time you're cooking each day, too. So if you're not really big into cooking having a shorter amount of time to cook can really help to be able to get you onto the things you want to do.
