Question:

I wanted to know what can be used in place of yeast seasoning for food. I try to avoid yeast.?

— Joshua Sutherland

Answer:

So that really depends on the dish Joshua it, you know, a lot of times people use I'm guessing you're thinking nutritional yeast and vegan food, which is kind of something that people put into things to be able to have a you know, that yeasty kind of flavor to be able to make it sound or make it kind of taste like cheese a little bit really what they're trying to do is get that little bit of ferment kind of flavor into it. So if you're looking to be able to replace something like that, it kind of depends on the dish, you know for something like an egg replacer. I might try something like black salt which is kind of a sulfur kind of taste to it, you know, but really kind of depends on what you're making for it if you're looking to be able to get that fermented flavor. It might just be a matter of fermenting something, you know, just doing a natural ferment it instead of a vinegar. So it's not as harsh of a flavor as a vinegar ferment would do but Sorry to not give you too much. But without knowing exactly what you're using. The yeast seasoning for it's hard to give you a replacement for it.
