Question:

What is the ingredient that goes to waste most in your own kitchen?

— terilynn reese

Answer:

I would say pretty much nothing. I'm very careful. I don't like waste at all. I just I don't like it. No do I ever have to throw something away? Of course, but how I try to moderate this is to use every bit of everything in terms of desserts. I say bits and pieces of ganache and different creams and cantons and The Cranberries as you saw and I might take a cake a cup cake that might have staled or I just have a little bit left or some cookies left and dry them out in the oven and then make crumbs and sometimes I mix creams together or you know, I don't have a problem with that. I this time of the year, I'm crazy for squash. I love winter squash. So I save this seeds I make a squash broth using just the seeds then I strain it and I Have broth and then I toast the seeds so I have toasted pumpkin seeds. So that's what I try to do. Cheryl Lynn, you know, I use all the I use if I buy Beats I use the beet greens and all of that kind of business. I think that's an important question that you ask because we all really want to try not to waste food food is really precious. I'm know that I'm very lucky to have an abundance of food and not have to go hungry and that's not the case for everyone.
