Question:

Any experience making nut milks? Suggestion for store bought with minimal ingredients?

— Meredith Greene

Answer:

Okay, so I did a couple of things one. I like to. Show you what I do with a tablespoon of unsalted almond butter. and a eight ounce container or 240 cc's of water and I put it in this little Thing here and I blend it. This is one of those mini blenders from this is from the people who make the unanim machine, but you can see it makes a beautiful beautiful almond milk. There's no salt in it. There's no sugar and there's no funny gels or anything like that. It's very reasonable to make You can keep it up to five days stored well cover topics that are Etc. But really truthfully if you're going to use it in your breakfast cereal and maybe your morning tea or your coffee or whatever. It takes two seconds to make if you have a little bit of a sweet tooth you can add date. I prefer a date to maple syrup just because fiber is always a good thing. You want to remove the pit. And then break this up you might want to because the the blades on this is not so strong. I would soak this in warm water for like two or three minutes just to sort of break the skin down a little bit, but that's the best thing that this is what I do, but I also Had this in my pantry the original champions of Mighty soy milk silk soy and I think they've been around since the 12th of Never. The ingredient list is organic soy milk vitamin and mineral blend and then they add salt so there is 75 milligrams of salt in this why does it have to have salt? Who knows so Start out making your almond butter milk. Let us know what you think. It's cost-effective. You can do it with hemp seed you can do with lots and lots of other things but Almond milk is my preferred milk, so. Try making your own. I think that's the best thing to do and you do not need to go and get. A nut machine if you have a high-speed blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec or something that also makes really really good milk. You may have to strain it in a nut bag or a double mesh strainer either one of those will work well for you, but cost Effectiveness and the nutrition value I think as much better than anything you'll get commercially.
