What is your wfpb (whole food plant based) sweetener of choice?

Answer:

So first, I have to say that maybe 20 years ago. I was a person who would have a big cup of coffee with lots of half and half and maybe three or four packets of sugar. So, you know that sugar and salt are acquired tastes. And sometimes I will taste something go. Oh my God, this is so sweet and it might have one date in it. So my my favorite sweetener. I was talking to a friend today who's a nutritionist and we were talking about sweeteners. Because there are some people who will say and it's sugar free. But it's sweetened with date sugar or maple sugar what they really mean is it's unrefined. It's unrefined sugar. It's refined sugar-free. So I like I like dates. I like a little drop of maple syrup. If I do drink coffee, I drink it black or I'll put a little bit of that delicious almond milk in it. Um, I think that you have to remember that some of the sources of plant-based sweeteners. Like date sugar maple sugar, etc, etc. Coconut sugar all have calories in them. So I don't know if the caloric responsibilities is something that you focus on. There are other things out there, but I'm not I'm not big on sweetness. When I do bake. I will use maple syrup. Some people will say I'm so processed but you know, it gives you the flavor that you want and I taught a cooking class last month in person and I use maple syrup and the people were surprised that it tasted as sweet as it did without having gobs and gobs of sugar in it. So anyway good very good question. Very good question
