Question:
Are there ways to store/preserve fresh, green herbs (tarragon, basil, etc) for future use?
— David Kaune
Answer:
Yeah here I don't try and dry them. I puree them, you know get a good high-speed Blender make a puree out of them with some oil or with some water and then put them in Ice Cube blocks freeze them and then have them so you can pull out just what you need at any given time just enough oil to turn the blades. You might want to think about putting some sort of antioxidant in there such as like a little bit of garlic or some citric acid just to help keep that color bright. But otherwise if you blend it quickly at a very high speed put them into ice cube trays that you kind of have to use for this purpose only because guess what your ice cube is going to taste like after you just Frozen basil in there. Delicious for cocktails kind of weird for your glass of water though. Anyway, so there you go cool.
