What is the best way to store fresh turmeric?

Answer:
I store turmeric like any mushrooms. I keep them in a paper bag in the fridge. So, you know, it's a small paper bag. I just wrap it up. So it's a little tight, but it breathes a little bit better. Um, you know, I have friends that just keep it just in the crisper drawer, which is I guess works, but my favorite way to keep fresh turmeric is definitely in a paper bag.
