— Christine Winig

Answer:

So add in definitely add in the those legumes a cup to a cup and a half a day. They're very substantiating. They're very filling. They feel good. They're satisfying and you it's really hard to get by on just fruits and vegetables. Some people do it can be done but it's challenging and you are going to be hungry and that will maybe end up being a problem for you. I mean, of course it is because if you're not if you're always hungry It's harder to stay the course you're gonna think that it has to do with the diet. So plant-based diet is not just fruits and vegetables, you know, you can Define it like that, but it's it's going to be harder to sustain. So I would recommend adding in the legumes. I'd recommend eating in adding in starchy vegetables, you know squash right now. It's delicious season for Ultra types of squashes pumpkins potatoes sweet potatoes yams. Any kind of starchy vegetables are really satisfying addition to your diet and I wouldn't be afraid of whole grains. I don't know if you're avoiding them on purpose. Well, you said you're not so maybe you are I'd love to know why you could still if you're you said we specifically so, I don't know if you're avoiding wheat or grains in general. If you are avoiding wheat your gluten free have quinoa or wild rice or brown rice. There's always wonderful whole grains out there that will help substantiate the meal. Cooking your vegetables so you can get more in and get yourself more full. We'll also help so I don't know why you're doing what you're doing. If there's a reason let me know because that'll help me guide my answer to you because if you're gluten free we can still work around that if you're avoiding grains for certain reason, we can work around that too. But you know, those are the things that are gonna fill you up fruits and vegetables are the lowest calorie density Foods on the planet just the fewest calories. Yes the most nutrition but you have to need to eat a lot and you know, our stomachs are about the size of our fist. So how much fruits and vegetables can you really consume and and stay full because you're just you're not gonna get that many calories in the other thing you could add into your diet that I highly recommend that I mentioned earlier is nuts and seeds. So one to two ounces a day while nuts all men's pistachios pumpkin seeds hemp seeds chia seeds flax seeds. Those are all really nutrient dense food and they will substantiate you too. But again, you don't want to another problem that a lot of raw food is go into which I don't know if that's what you're doing. That's why I was asking You're avoiding those Foods nuts and seeds. One of the problems that raw food is run into is that they're not hungry and they're still hungry. So they're adding and stuff like oils and I don't recommend that so I would recommend staying to the Whole Foods, but I would start with starchy vegetables whole grains legumes for sure and then some nuts and seeds and that should that should help fill you up and if you know, just let me know why because then I can.
