Question:
What are the causes for bloating, associated with foods? What's happening in the body?
— Jessie Lease
Answer:
Okay. Gas and a lot of it. Right? Um, a lot, a lot of gas. I'm sure you've, or maybe you haven't, but some of us have heard of the FODMAP diet, which, uh, is a diet that takes out a lot of gas producing foods. Uh, this is used for people that might have small intestinal bowel overgrowth called sibo. But again, whether someone's reacting to gluten in their diet or dairy in their diet, or some of these oligo fructose saccharides, you know, the, the, um, is unknown. So it really takes, um, either you doing, taking one thing outta your diet at a time, like something major like dairy, seeing if that improves or gluten, and seeing if that improves and then seeing somebody about going on a FODMAP diet. Um, it's, it's pretty strict, um, as you do need support when you do try that. Um, but it's, and if it's been going on for a long time, you also need to check with your practitioner. There might be something else going on there.
