Can you use egg whites in place of an egg when baking?

Answer:
If you are practicing a whole food plant-based diet, uh, eggs are an animal product, so I would not use them. I would experiment with using some of the other types of eggs that you can use, uh, made from flax, chia, uh, sweet potato, tofu, uh, bananas, apples, apple sauce, graded apples applesauce. But I would, if I, if I went to someone's house and they used egg whites, um, I, I would probably not feel well after ingesting that animal product. So that would be my suggestion to look at some of the, uh, alternatives that can be used, but not an egg white from a chicken. Thanks for your question. It's a very good question.
