If flour is kept in the pantry, what is a good life span for before it should be tossed?

Answer:
I keep mine in the freezer and I don't buy, like, uh, remember how our moms would buy like a five pound bag of gold metal flour? But I can remember my mother being very busy in the kitchen making biscuits and all kinds of things. So I buy very small bags of flour. I usually buy Arrowhead mills or something by Bob's Red Mill. And, uh, they come in two pound bags and I keep them in the freezer. I date them, of course. And, uh, I couldn't tell you how long, um, that they last, but, uh, I think that that's a good thing.
