Question:

Can frozen fruits be used for breakfast bowls?

— Heather A. Rennalls

Answer:

Yes, absolutely Heather. Um, you know, especially when they're out of season, like I'm now living in Madison, Wisconsin, it's a little harder to get, um, you know, fruit that's in season here, right? So strawberry's completely outta season in, in Wisconsin. So, uh, I would use a frozen variety of strawberry and or blueberry instead of maybe a fresh because they're gonna be a lot more, um, a lot less expensive, but the, if you freeze them, they're typically flash frozen and they're actually trapping all the nutrients, um, into them as well and just let them thaw. Um, and you can just put them into like a little, you know, like a Tupperware or something like that, uh, and let them thaw out and just have them in your refrigerator so you can add them to your breakfast bowls, um, when you need them. I wouldn't, you know, thaw the whole package or anything like that, but just what you need maybe for a couple days let them thaw. Um, that goes for like blueberries, all kinds of different fruits like that as well too. Um, and then you can just add, you know, a couple, you know, spoonfuls of them in as you need. Um, and frozen fruit works great for that, still has the same nutrients, same great flavor too. Um, so that's a great way to be able to add them to your breakfast bowls.
