Can you please say a few words about how to cook to avoid the bloat caused by beans?

Answer:

So, um, when I first became plant-based, um, that was an issue because I don't think in the first two weeks of being plant-based that I had ever eaten that many beans in my whole life. So I like to first of all, sort my beans because I wanna make sure that there isn't a pebble in there, even though, uh, there, you know, in a grocery store in downtown Philadelphia, it's just something I learned that you always sort out your beans, I rinse them really well, and I add a little bit of baking soda to the cooking water. And that seems to alleviate a lot of the flights that you might be experiencing. So you might wanna try that. Hope that helps. Uh, and, you know, you can google, uh, sodium bicarb cooking beans, and you'll see exact, um, uh, proportions to use of water to the sodium bicarb.
