Question:

Do you prefer using a mortar and pestle or a spice grinder?

— Melissa Bryant

Answer:

That is a use case scenario for me. I have both of them. Uh, spice Grinders are wonderful for doing something like, um, if I'm gonna be doing like a rub or something like that, um, you know, if I'm doing Indian food, a lot of time I'll use a spice grinder as well. But if I'm doing something like a a pesto, I might use a mortar. Um, or if I'm doing a pesto, I might use a mortar and pestle instead. Um, there are some cases, you know, especially with like, I guess more so if I'm gonna use a spice grinder, it's gonna be a dried seed. If I'm gonna use herbs or a garlic or a ginger or something in it, I'm gonna use a mortar and pestle instead. So that will be kind of my use cases for each one of those. If I'm, if, um, you know, just kind of different needs. 'cause I wouldn't put garlic in my spice grinder, uh, like ever or anything with a liquid in it, um, or any kind of herb. Uh, but I would use that all the time in my water and pestle. So that's kind of the big different differentiation. D the big differences between the two of us. Sorry, not catching my words today. Um, so that's pretty, pretty much the, you know, the what I would do for each one of those dry ingredients versus something that's a little more wet.
