Question:

What is the best way to peel onions? Also what is the best way to get the onion residue off your fingers, lemon juice?

— JONI BERQUIST

Answer:

Well Joni in the dicing portion of the class. There's a wonderful lesson on how to chop an onion. Or shallot or whatever. Sometimes I have to cut a lot of onions for things that I might be working on. So I will wear a kitchen gloves and I find that to be very helpful. And then all I have to do is take the gloves off and dispose of them. lemon juice, I think probably would work well to remove that but I would wash my hands thoroughly in hot water with soap first and then apply the lemon juice for fragrance and Patrick has posted the chop onions for you to review and just one other interesting thing onions take a lot of patience and a lot of time and the more that you cut them the easier it gets so once you master cutting onions and oh into a beautiful fine dice or whatever. It's a very rewarding feeling to have in the kitchen. So take a look at that lesson, and I think you'll be happy with that.
