Question
JONI BERQUIST
Could you recommend a good dehydrator? Brand,Vertical, horizontal, layers??
Answer
when I was a student at Rouxbe I bought myself the Ron Popeil of food dehydrator. It was circular and it had like five trays and it took days and days and days for anything to dehydrate. So I went on the marketplace in Facebook and I bought myself a used Excalibur five tray. And it is what I imagine driving a Tesla would be like I paid $100 for it which was a fraction of what they go for but I would definitely recommend the Excalibur they work like a dream your products come up beautifully, whether you're making fruit leather or your dehydrating your own figs, or you're making crackers, they just come out beautifully. So that would be my my recommendation if you get one Joni, let me know which one you get and let me know what you're going to make with it because this time of the year, I have an abundance of zucchini coming out of my garden. So I like to Use the mandolin and cut them lengthwise and then dip them in first. I dip them in aquafaba and then I'll put some spices on them and dehydrate them and they come out like a little cute zucchini chip that add a lot of flavor and zest and texture to your dish.
