Question:
I've learned to seek comfort in clothing rather than stress eating. It could be a shawl, but for me it is my sweat shirt or a thin second shirt. A hug instead of binge eating....?
— Rebecca Ploettner
Answer:
Rebecca, thank you for that tip. That sounds amazing. I myself like the cashmere 'cause it feels so like being hugged. Um, but yes, there are days I'm in my sweatshirt. Um, and I love that you're looking at other things that make you feel loved and good and that you're not looking to food to decrease your stress or make you happy or uh, get rid of your anxiety. We all do it, we do it to different levels. And if it's not working for you 'cause you're doing it too much, then really diving deep into your food stories and maybe getting somebody, um, somebody to help talk it out with you. You don't have to do it yourself. You don't have to struggle that way.
