Can you tell us about Shane's Confectionary in Philadelphia, and the event you did there?

— Char Nolan

Answer:

Um, the history of the place is so interesting. They have kept all, they have all the original, the original gadgets for making candy. It, it's quite extraordinary. I mean, going up the stairs to teach, uh, teach work with the team on the second floor. You know, this is a very old building 'cause the stairs were like sort of straight up. And I asked the owner, I asked, um, the young man who Eric, who purchased Shane's, if the tables we were working at were original because they were these beautiful marble tables that looked, they were deep, but they looked well used. And he said yes, they actually were. And this candy store or confectionary does offer very traditional desserts. So they also offer a line of vegan desserts that are delicious and vegan ice cream cakes, and they make their own chocolate. They are bean to bar, which is pretty extraordinary and a hundred percent ethical, ethical, and fair trade. So anybody comes to Philly, you definitely want to check out Shane's confectionary.
