Question:
Is the fridge the better way to keep fruit?
— EMMA CONROY
Answer:
That's actually really funny because it's totally not a good way to keep fruit, you know all depends on the fruit, but like, you know, I'll keep things like strawberries and grapes and blueberries, I guess in my fridge and what I'll do is I'll keep them in a container that still breathable like strawberries and you keep them from the grocery store. You can see that they're in a breathable container and that's typically the way I keep them. In fact, you know, one of the best ways to be able to think about how to store fruits or vegetables is how you bought them at the grocery store. Are they refrigerated in the grocery store when you're buying them? So something like an apple or an orange? They're put out on counters. They're not in a Refrigerated unit at all. So you can follow suits. I personally like apples and oranges to be cold when I bite into them. So I keep them in the fridge but not the best example, so maybe you do keep in the fridge more often that say but um, you know things like cantaloupe, you know, tomatoes are one of those things. It's kind of a pet pee you don't put your tomatoes in the refrigerator. It is a fruit by the way, but you actually lose a lot of flavor by putting the Tomato on the refrigerator. If you are putting them in the fridge, especially like if you you know, if you keep your tomatoes out of the fridge until you cut them and we cut them they need to be in the fridge and sealed, but wait for it to come back down to room temperature before you use it again to get the full flavor out of it as well, too. So, yeah, so Emma, that's kind of a mixed bag. If you will some of it needs to be in the fridge. Some of it doesn't and think about how their song in the grocery store and how you keep it in your own home.
