Question:

Is or how much butter okay and healthy? Are plant based substitutes for butter okay? Are flavored and sweetened plant based milk substitutes okay for you?

— Lyn Myers

Answer:

That's entirely up to you. I mean, you know butter is a very nutrient-dense food meaning it's very caloric and there's a lot of saturated fat and butter and I think you know, the dietetic associations say that we shouldn't have more than 10% saturated fat per day in our diet. I know Dr. Esselstin The Forks Over Knives people would say none. I get my fat from nuts and seeds and occasional avocado. I mean everything has fat in it so I wouldn't worry about it. So you have to decide what works for you. I can't tell you how much butter is healthy, but all of these Butters That I just showed you try some of these Butters and see what they are. They are not without fat they are not without fat. But if you're looking for the taste of butter, then you have an alternative. They are better than Dairy butter in my opinion.
