Question:
Should you cook your oats before making oat milk?
— Cate Miller
Answer:
I mean on my new favorite way that I'm going to stick is by taking some of my oatmeal that is already cooked and making oat milk that way and straining it. But if you're making oat milk from scratch, you know, you don't have oatmeal made and I eat oatmeal every morning. So that's just no problem at all for me. I always step oatmeal around. I love it. Sometimes I even have it for dinner if I've had a really long day, but you don't want to cook your oats you take roll oats. Water blend it for a short a time as possible. You don't want the oats to heat then you have this. Potential problem of them getting slimy. So you start with cold water start with room temperature oats blend and strain.
