Question:

I am signed up for the FOK culinary course. Is there a way to "fast track" through the course or test out?

— Julz Statler

Answer:

Yes, and no, so I'm a little confused why it's sign up for the class and want to test out of it. But if you're trying to get through the class a little faster, you can always click the completed box on the end of each page. You'll still have to do your assignments for those and you know show your work as far as your uploads and things like that for the classes and then have the instructors grade them but there isn't really a way to test out of the class the classes are designed for you to be able to go through and learn different skills. The way they're built out is you learn certain things at the beginning of the course that you'll need later in the course and you kind of build upon your techniques of that and I see Jewels you're also the person that was Um cooking for 50 to 100 so you probably have a lot of experience. But yeah as far as testing out, that's not something we really do. You know, if you're taking the class we're expecting you to be able to follow the class basically in a you know, and you can do it in different orders if you want to if you're like, you know what I'm not really feeling, you know making this clear broth today. I want to do something like make Satan you can do the Satan one first, that's fine and come back to the clear broth one as well. You know, the I think the best way to do that and you know, I've taken every single one of our Rouxbe classes and you know had like basically did the same thing or I submitted all my recipes and you know as an instructor and the director of plant-based culinary, I definitely have a lot of experience in these areas. So I knew a lot of the things I was studying but it was a good refresher on it and it was also good way to interact with other people in the class and also, To be able to get to know the instructors better. So I hope you do that yourself. It's a great way to be able to learn, you know, and you'll definitely learn some new things guarantee it as you go through the course on it. But yeah, there isn't a way to really test out of the class.
