Maybe this is a stupid question, but what is a sports gel and how do you use it? -
That is not a stupid question at all Naouar. Sports or energy gels are used when working out for extended periods of time. For myself, I use them when I am doing long runs. I take one about every 45 minutes, but the amount one takes is different for everyone. Here is an article that will explain better what sports gels are. Hope that helps. Cheers! -
That sounds so cool! I can definately use more energy during my workouts. Thanks for your quick reply, as always! -
Never saw seaweed powder. What's the best one and where can I find it -

Hi Denise- Seaweed like dulse can be found at any health food store or specialty food store. Of course, Asian markets will typically carry this type of seaweed as well - but be sure to get dulse as others will not work in this particular recipe. Cheers! -
Thank you so much for the specific and by the way, I love this site. Best investment I made! -

Hi Coco, here it is: Ingredients (for 3/4 cup, twice as much as pictured) 4 dates (I used dried dates, soaked for a few hours) 1/2 cup raw agave nectar 1 Tbsp lime zest 2 tsp lemon zest 1/2 tsp dulse (I skipped this, since I didn’t have it) Sea salt to taste Combine all the ingredients in a blender or small food processor until desired consistency is reached. Put into plastic zip-lock bag or gel flask. (You can see that in my sublime hatred of carrying heavy or bulky things with me on runs, I chose the former. Just bite off a corner when you’re ready to eat it.) So easy, and so much better than what you can buy. I wasn’t able to get the citrus zest and date pulp completely incorporated into the gel; it wasn’t an issue when I was running, but if this weirds you out, then you could just be careful and pour the gel off of the solid bits.
