Rouxbe is pleased to announce a training partnership with Hashoo Hotels, the first Pakistan-based hotel group to adopt Rouxbe’s culinary training program for their culinary associates. Hashoo owns and operates Marriott Hotel and Pearl Continental Hotel properties in Pakistan’s larger cities and destinations.
The training includes a comprehensive curriculum that covers foundational techniques and fundamental cooking methods that are universally used in kitchens globally. Rouxbe’s technology allows for cost-effective and scalable training and development solutions for culinary associates regardless of when and where they work.
Jan Verduyn, Hashoo Hotels’ General Manager, remarks: “Hashoo Hotels, since its inception, has always been at the forefront in training young professionals into seasoned hoteliers. Today, we enhance this strategy by moving forward into the next chapter by providing all our culinary associates with the Rouxbe online cutting-edge training resource.”
The global decline in enrolments for brick-and-mortar culinary programs has forced hospitality organizations, like Hashoo Hotels, to consider alternative options to effectively train and retain culinary talent.
“There is no doubt that this program, which our associates can now access, will further contribute to their professional development at Hashoo Hotels and will set us apart from the competition within the region,” says Jan Verduyn.
The selection of Rouxbe by Hashoo Hotels, extends Rouxbe’s global reach to over 600 properties—in 4 languages; English, Arabic, Mandarin and Spanish, with other languages in development.
Rouxbe’s Chief Culinary Officer, Ken Rubin, adds, “With a worldwide shortage of qualified cooks and chefs, forward thinking organizations, like Hashoo Hotels, will be at the forefront of innovation, helping to ensure a workforce that is equipped for success at their properties.”
