Question:

Do you think air fryers are healthy and nutritionally sound to use for particular foods and meals?

— Mark Rappaport

Answer:

Air fryers are healthy in terms of they decrease the amount of fat without ha without having you have to, um, submerge your food in, in oil. Uh, so I like them if, and there's a big if there, it depends what the air fryer's made of. If it's made out of uh, toxic chemicals called PFAS, then no I would say no. But there are, and you'll see in that link there are air fryers. They're now using ceramic interiors instead of that non-stick Teflon like thing that ha you know, can off gas and really make you sick. So yes, air fryers are a way to cook food, uh, to retain nutrients and prevent too much fat in your diet. And as long as you get one that is doesn't have the pfas in it.
