Question:
Is brining food useful for any cooking method?
— Maryam Arnous
Answer:
you know, fermenting is something we brine foods in a lot you can do, you know brining of mushrooms. You can do them, you know for a lot of meats you actually typically want to brine them as well. I'm not you know, the expert done that by any means but I have done them for some mushrooms and different things like that as well too. So it is a great method to be able to add some flavor especially if you need to be able to get some moisture in those. I know that our carrot locks actually use a brining method on that as well too and you basically soak the carrots into the matter cooked and absorbs a lot of that flavor and salt really kind of gets that, you know kind of the the lox kind of flavor that you're looking for for the carrots.
