Why this benefit works

Most wellness programs ask people to track something. This one asks them to cook dinner.

An app can count what someone ate. A webinar can explain why it matters. Neither one gets a person standing at the stove on a Wednesday night with a bag of groceries and a plan.

Cooking is the habit underneath every other eating habit. An employee who can put a real meal together in thirty minutes stops defaulting to the drive-through, stops paying takeout prices five nights a week, and starts feeding their family the way they always meant to. That skill can be taught, and teaching it has been Rouxbe's only job for twenty years.

Give people the skill and the habit follows.

What's included

The five courses

Five starting points for very different people. The employee who has never roasted a vegetable and the one who reads cookbooks for fun will both find something here.

Swich

Cook anything, starting tonight.

Powered by the Rouxbe library, built since 2005

Swich builds a personalized, step-by-step course on the fly. An employee types what's in the fridge and how much time they have, or photographs a dish they loved at a restaurant, and Swich builds the lesson around it using two decades of Rouxbe video and instruction.

It adapts to any cuisine and any way of eating, so it meets people where they are instead of asking them to follow someone else's diet. For the person who swears they'll never take a course, this is the one they use anyway.

  • Prompt or photo to lesson
  • Any cuisine
  • Any diet
  • Any skill level
Best for

The employee with no time, no plan, and a fridge full of odds and ends.

Cook's Roadmap

The foundation everything else sits on.

Taught by Rouxbe chef instructors, with feedback on submitted work

This is the course that turns a recipe follower into a cook. It maps out cooking the way professional chefs think about it, then breaks it into pieces that build on each other: kitchen organization, knife handling, heat control, sautéing, roasting, steaming and simmering, seasoning and flavor building, sauces, and adapting any recipe to your taste or household.

Most students finish in six to eight weeks on a few hours a week, and access doesn't expire. Recipes adapt for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free cooking, with instructor guidance on substitutions.

  • Knife skills
  • Heat and cooking methods
  • Flavor building
  • Sauces
  • Chef feedback
Best for

The person who owns a good knife and a good pan, and still orders takeout four nights a week.

Culinary Rx

Where food stops being a topic and becomes a practice.

Built with The Plantrician Project over ten years of development

Culinary Rx is a transitional cooking and nutrition course for people ready to change their health through what they cook. It was designed so healthcare professionals could put a real educational resource in a patient's hands, and it works just as well for anyone making that decision on their own.

The approach is plant forward, but nobody has to go fully plant based for it to pay off. The instruction applies to whatever diet someone already follows, with chef instructors and health professionals alongside them the whole way.

  • Cooking and nutrition together
  • Plant forward, not all or nothing
  • Chef and clinician support
  • Self paced
Best for

The employee whose last physical came with a conversation about diet.

Blue Zones

Cook the way the longest-lived people on earth cook.

Developed with Dan Buettner, Blue Zones founder and National Geographic Fellow

Buettner has spent his career studying the five original blue zones, Okinawa, Sardinia, Nicoya, Ikaria and Loma Linda, where people reliably live the longest and best. This course takes what those kitchens have in common and teaches it as cooking rather than theory, drawing on the Blue Zones Kitchen cookbooks and regional traditions Buettner introduces himself.

The recipes are plant forward, inexpensive, and built from vegetables, beans and grains. They hold up on an ordinary Tuesday, which is the whole point.

  • Five original blue zones
  • Plant-forward recipes
  • Video from Dan Buettner
  • Everyday ingredients
Best for

The employee who wants better habits without being handed a rulebook.

90-Day Whole-Food Reset

Ninety days. Whole food. No salt, no oil, no wondering what to do next.

An ACF quality program, with continuing education hours for finishing within 90 days

The most structured program of the five, and the one people finish with something to show for it. It's self-paced, whole-food, plant-based training for people following a strict therapeutic protocol or committing to a serious preventive lifestyle, and for the caregivers, dietitians and nutritionists who support them.

It has a beginning, a middle and an end, which is exactly why it works for the employee who has started and dropped four other health programs this year.

  • Whole food, plant based
  • No salt, no oil
  • 90-day structure
  • CEH credits
Best for

The employee who wants a start date, a finish line, and a credential at the end.

How it works

Three steps for you. One decision for them.

  1. Step 1

    Set the license

Tell us how many people you employ. We size the yearly license to your headcount and send terms. No per-seat purchasing and no reimbursement forms moving through payroll.

  2. Step 2

    Announce it

We give you launch materials ready to send: announcement copy, course descriptions, and a single signup path. Use ours or write your own.

  3. Step 3

    They cook

Employees sign in, browse the five courses, and start the same day. Nothing to install, nothing to approve, and no waiting for a cohort to fill.

Everything is online and self paced. Remote, hybrid, plant floor, and field staff get the same benefit.

Credentials that carry weight

Rouxbe programs are recognized by the American Culinary Federation, and select courses carry continuing education hours.

Inclusive by design

Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and every cuisine your workforce actually eats. Nobody is told their food is wrong.

Frequently asked questions

Pricing, access, and how Rouxbe Wellness fits alongside your other benefits.

How is Rouxbe Wellness priced?

It's a yearly license fee based on the size of your employee base, and larger populations bring the per-person cost down. Contact sales for a quote.

Does each employee have to choose one course?

No. Every course is open to every employee for the length of the license. Some people take one and stop. Some work through all five.

Our workforce eats very differently across regions. Does that matter?

Here it's an advantage. Swich adapts to any cuisine and any diet, and Cook's Roadmap recipes adapt for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free cooking with instructor guidance on substitutions.

How much time does this ask of an employee?

Anywhere from one lesson over lunch to a structured 90-day program. Everything is self paced, so nobody needs to be free at the same hour as anyone else.

Can we run it alongside our existing wellness vendor?

Yes. Rouxbe Wellness teaches a skill rather than tracking a metric, so it sits alongside biometric screening, fitness benefits, and EAP programs instead of competing with them.

Do employees keep access if they leave the company?

Access runs with your license. We'll walk through offboarding and renewal details when we scope your agreement.
