Question:

For submersion cooking is it best to heat to rolling boil and let cool to the preferred temperature?

— Sarah Harbin

Answer:

I typically do do that. I'm gonna bring it up to a boil and then bring it down to you know, just the exact temperature to be able to make that happen. That's the way I do it. You can definitely if you're using a thermometer putting into the side of your pan just bring it right up to the preferred temperature to be able to make that because if you do bring it up to a ball and you have to wait for it to cool down which can take a little bit longer, but I typically I'm just kind of like, you know, I'm doing multiple dishes at one time. So I'll just turn it on high let it get to the temp. I need to if I see that it's boiling. I see that to turn it down and put the thermometer into it. So either way will work just fine. It's just kind of a preference.
