Question:
If a recipe uses mushrooms which my family and I can't stand the smell of. Is there anything I can substitute them with for full marks?
— xxx yyy
Answer:
This is a generally right practice for no oil cooking. So, you know, other hard items, I recommend root vegetables generally. So, uh, carrots, you know, maybe a large dice of carrots, uh, you know, would be fine. Um, you know, other root vegetables are fine, as I mentioned, but, uh, uh, at this point anyway, avoid potatoes because the relatively high starch content, um, that can, um, uh, stick to the pan and, uh, could be a little bit fussy, so, you know, choose carrots or, um, you know, maybe it's, uh, parsnips or, or something else. Um, but yes, uh, I think some of those things will get you through this assignment just fine.
