Question:
What the best method to treat your wood chopping board? How often to treat it?
— Tokie Williams
Answer:
You know, generally speaking, um, folks will recommend treating a wood cutting board with some, um, you know, with some, uh, mineral oil, uh, periodically. And it just depends on how often you use it and how, you know, damaged, uh, you know, the surface gets okay. Um, you know, the other part of, of, uh, maintaining a cutting board is, uh, the, the daily maintenance of, of letting it air dry. Um, and, you know, even putting it out, uh, you know, in the sun every once in a while, uh, to get that sort of exposure as well. You know, we all benefit from exposure to the sun. Um, and so does your wood cutting board from time to time anyway. And, uh, you know, also, if you're cutting board surface gets damaged, then, uh, it might, uh, require some sanding, uh, to refinish the surface, okay? So there are some different approaches, some different things to consider, uh, depending on the situation. Okay. And, uh, yeah, happy cooking to you. Thank you. All right.
