Question:
I would like to know how to set up a cadence and pace within the course so that I am able to finish within 3 months.?
— Martha LaFon
Answer:
So I think one of the best tools that I found was, um, looking at a unit and then looking at the assignments and seeing if they were related by ingredient and such. Uh, I always like to make a timeline when I'm cooking in the kitchen, when I'm teaching a class or whatever. So I would suggest to make a timeline for yourself. And, uh, I'm not sure, uh, where you live or how you shop, but sometimes, uh, using Instacart or the Amazon shop or whatever is one way to make things a little easier for you. And, um, I just wanted to say one other thing. Uh, I remember, uh, when I had to do a unit, uh, that required some strange ingredients, and I didn't wanna go spend a ton, ton of money, and I went to my local, um, Chinese restaurant and I said, do you have these? Can you give me a couple of tablespoons full of? And they were like, yeah, sure, no problem. And so that worked for me by the timeline, a calendar. And I think just enjoy everything that you do. You know, if you're talking about the Forks course, it's such an enjoyable course, and you get to learn so much and, um, you get to, in the process, experiment with things that will ultimately have you feeling better and, uh, seeking joy from what it is that you make.
