When assembling mise en place, how do you handle items such as a spice, hot sauce, etc. that you may want to shake over the dish during execution? Is the bottle or spice just included in the picture?

Answer:

Um, yes. You know, I think that's, uh, in terms of the assignments, you know, that's, that, that, uh, is a fair way to approach that. Um, and in real life, you know, um, that's, uh, I think a, a fair way to approach that as well. Now, in terms of assignments, um, you know, just, uh, turn the labels out so we can see 'em. Um, you might mention that in your description as well, but to be able to see something in a photograph, um, also helps us understand better, uh, what's going on. Um, as you know, sometimes particular variations of a product or a particular brand of a product, you know, can make a difference. And, uh, you know, we might understand that by seeing the label.
