Question:

What advice can you give to reduce anxiety related to all things food. My husband planned, shopped, prepared, cooked, served, cleaned. Proper Nutrition has been difficult since my loss, so I joined Rouxbe.?

Answer:

Let me mention one thing, and that is to, uh, consider a, uh, I'll call it a support group, but just a, a group, you know, which we, you know, becomes, um, hopefully a group of friends and, and, and folks, uh, you know, that you can, uh, share meals with and, and ideas with, or conversations with, you know, in your area. Um, there might be something, uh, online as well, so it could well be a more dispersed group that you find, but, uh, to, uh, to meet up with folks face to face, um, provide you're comfortable with that, uh, can be a nice way to go as well. Um, but, uh, you know, otherwise, um, you know, sharing food, uh, you know, having, again, a, a goal or a, a another purpose for the cooking that you do in terms of sharing it, uh, could be a, a nice way to go. And, uh, you know, again, depending on your situation, right? It could be a neighbor, it could be a, a friend, a family member, um, or somebody that you might meet, you know, in one of these, uh, groups that I, uh, you alluded to just a moment ago. And, um, you know, as you, um, start to, uh, participate in your own planning and shopping, and preparing and cooking and, and, uh, cleanup and all of that, um, you'll start to develop your own routine and your knowledge will deepen. And, uh, we certainly hope that, uh, your comfort level, um, will increase, your anxiety, will decrease, uh, around the all important, um, you know, routine of food preparation and the enjoyment of food. And, um, I wish you all the best and, uh, you know, stay in touch, you know, as you move through your Rouxbe course.
