Question:
I have read that fruit and salad should be eaten on an empty stomach and not consumed with cooked food. Is this true?
— Kathy Johnson
Answer:
Well Kathy, I'll tell you, I actually for one of my jobs was sent to a spa in Italy. Oh, poor me. Anyway, what they did is they first came out with salad because before we even ate, because they said that had the enzymes that would help us digest our food and that's their principle. Um, but you can eat fruit and salad on an empty stomach absolutely. And you can consume it with cooked foods. So it's not true that you can't do that.
