Question:

What fruit pastes work well for sweetening Balsamic Vinegar Dressings?

— Michael Baun

Answer:

So a lot of them do. Um, you know, date paste is probably one of the more popular ones in the whole food plant-based world. I love to use apricot to actually, personally I love it more than date, especially for a balsamic vinegar. Add in a little bit of rosemary or thyme into that, uh, blend it up with the, you know, um, with the apricot as well is really great. But that's the nice thing is you can experiment with different fruit paste to get different flavorings. Um, so date and, uh, you know, apricot are probably the most popular, but any dried fruit that you want to switch out for, that should work pretty well.
