Question:

Is there a protein powder you like to cook with?

— Annette Moore

Answer:

I typically don't use protein powders. Um, usually even when I was helping coach, uh, you know, different bodybuilders and stuff like that, um, we weren't really using protein powders a lot. What I would actually do is do like a high protein kind of a thing, like a tofu or quinoa, sometimes even, um, and cook them, basically blend them up into a blender and then add them into other foods with shakes is typically how I do that. But for protein powder, I don't typically cook with a protein powder at all. It's more, that's more, when I think of the protein powders, I think of those more as like shakes and things that are people using to be able to up their protein for workouts. And that's usually in a format of a milkshake or, um, you know, a smoothie or something like that. Um, so that's the times that we would use those. And the plant-based versions, tofu works really well. Um, quinoa can be a little gritty sometimes, so sometimes you can like get stuck in your throat a little bit, um, even if you're blending 'em down. So, uh, tofu might be your best bet and when you are doing that, try a silk and tofu to be able to get the best texture for it.
