Question:
When you put beans, dried beans in a pressure cooker do you have to soak them?
— Belle Small
Answer:
Actually, no, you don't bell. Um, some people, you know, say that you have to, but I've never, ever soaked a bean before putting it in a pressure cooker and they've always come out just fine. Um, it's a nice thing about the pressure cookers. It's basically cooking them in high pressure so the moisture absorbs right into them, so you don't have to, um, you don't have to soak 'em. It's one of the great things about having the pressure cooker because it makes everything very, very fast compared to slaving over the top stove, top of your beans for hours instead. So yeah, but you do not have to soak 'em beforehand.
