Question:
It is suggested that I heat my new stainless clad set prior to adding oil. Does this work for using vegetable broth/water?

Answer:
So are you saying that the first time that you use it, they want you to sort of cure it with oil? Um, you know, I've recently gotten some new pans and I don't do any of that. I just heat it up and boil some water in it so that it gets used to that. I think, um, I think that you have a really good quality pan there, uh, with the brand that you've suggested, and I would just maybe boil some water in it and then put a top on it and let it sit. And I think you'll be good. I have done that in the past and it works.
