Question:
Do you have a favorite cookbook that has delicious recipes?
— Char Nolan
Answer:
I happen to have within arms reach here, Char um, one, uh, was published, I think in 2022, and a very fun book, all right. And, uh, I'll just hold that up for everyone to see here. This is all plant-based, and, uh, the title is be a Plant-Based Woman Warrior. And, uh, this is, uh, penciled by the Essel Ton's. Uh, it comes chockfull of gorgeous photographs, and the recipes are a lot of fun. There's a lot of flavor, a lot of texture, a lot of color, and of course, they're good for you too. And, uh, you know, this is, uh, great if you want to follow a recipe. It's also great if you want to look for some inspiration. In other words, you know, you might find, uh, you know, a half a dozen recipes that end up as your go-to recipes, but then you modify those to make them your own in some way. And, and otherwise, just looking at photographs, uh, are inspirational, right? So this is a great book. Uh, another one, which, uh, was released earlier this year is called The Mystic Kitchens of Nepal. And, uh, this one, uh, is very specific, of course, uh, looking at the foods and food culture, uh, of Nepal. And, uh, this also has some great photographs, has a, a lot of personal stories, um, uh, from the author's, uh, childhood, uh, in Katmandu, and, uh, a lot of fun. There's, uh, some great dishes in here. I'm a, I'm a fan of eggplant, so there's an eggplant and chickpea curry recipe, uh, that's nice. As well as, uh, an eggplant, okra and potato dish. Now, that's very nice. And others, too. Uh, this one is not 100% plant-based, but there are certainly a lot of plant-based recipes in here if you're interested. So, uh, give that some consideration, the Mystic Kitchens of Nepal.
