Question

Do you have a preference on where to purchase spices?
Answer
For most people, I'm gonna suggest that you go to a local Indian or South Asian grocery store. Uh, that's where you're gonna find the freshest spices, uh, because the, the turnover is so fast with, with all of the, you know, the South Asian community members shopping at a grocery store like that. If you go to a, a mainstream grocery store, you know, whether it's a, a Whole Foods or a Safeway or whatever it is, you're, in my experience, you don't quite find that level of freshness. Okay? Um, I get some of our stuff at, uh, one of the local Indian grocery stores, and we've got, uh, probably half a dozen of them within just a, uh, a few minutes of our, our house here. And then also, I'm always bringing stuff back from India. So we have a, a rotating stash of fresh items that come in that are staple, uh, spices that we use. And I realize that's not for everybody. So I do wanna mention the local Indian or other South Asian grocery stores. And of course, you know, find one that, um, appears to be, uh, well trafficked, uh, you know, frequented by a lot of folks. So you get that inventory, turnover, and the freshest product.
