Question:

Considering Halloween is very soon, I'd like to know what you offer trick or treaters?

— Fran Costigan

Answer:

And I live in a neighborhood where people don't really answer the door. They put a big bowl of candy in front of their house. They may have a fire pit. We don't have a fire pit, but we leave a big bowl of candy. But we have two bowls. We have a traditional one. And then Fran, because we live in Pennsylvania, I put this little basket together, which I will actually have on a stool in front of my house, Han October the 31st. But we live in Pennsylvania and of course we're going to have pretzels. Everyone in Pennsylvania eats pretzels. So these are made by tz, one of the oldest pretzel makers in the country, I believe. And kids like them, they don't love them, but it's better than not being able to take something from a basket. And a couple of other things in here are raisins, because sometimes kids love raisins. We have some hip pea, they are kind of like a version of a cheese doodle. Are they plant perfect? No. But if you are a child who might have a peanut allergy or a dairy allergy or any kind of allergy, these are plant-based. They are kosher so that a child can also take something and enjoy it. And I think that my favorite thing in here might be these fruit bars, which everybody also seems to love. So pretzels for the wind, you can buy 30, 30 of these little bags for about $6 and they last forever. So there you go. That's what I give out for Thanksgiving. Sometimes I'll also give out a name brand mini applesauce cup, because if you buy a name brand, it always has the product name and its ingredients. And the other thing that I do is I have a big sign that says, peanut free, allergy free, da da dah, dah dah. And then I say at the end, please have an adult read the ingredient list to you to make sure it is delicious and safe. And that's what we do for, um, this holiday, uh, in my house.
