Question:
Which cookbook would you recommend for those who are new to the vegan cooking arena?
— Roy L. Cox
Answer:
Oh, Roy, there are so many new cookbooks now. I have over here, you can't see, a big... three bookcases full of cookbooks. So it depends if you're doing an SOS, what we call about SOS, no salt, oil, sugar, that would be "The Engine 2 Cookbook," I would say any of the Esselstyn books. Isa Chandra has a book called "I Can Cook Vegan," which I think is really a great book. It's really simple. It's relatively new. I use books that aren't necessarily vegan for my savory food, because I find there are vegan recipes in there. There is a book by Joe Yonan, who wrote a bean book. What's it called? It's called "The Vegan Cooking Bible," something like that. Look for that. Those are really good books, but using cookbooks by reliable recipe writers, people that you know of, have heard of, or Google them, that's a really good idea because there are a lot of recipes out there that aren't so good. That just makes my eyes cross. So, there is that.
