Question:
Is there a time/temperature setting difference when baking in a gas oven vs electric? My gas oven usually burns the corners and bottoms of cakes/cookies.

Answer:
Your oven is okay if it's not the gas oven that's burning, it's perhaps the temperature or the kind of pan that you're using. So that's what I would say. Get an oven thermometer and checking it. I had learned, actually, that gas ovens needed to be set slightly differently from electric, but that is not the case. So I would say if you've got corners and bottoms burning, it could be the rack. Are you baking these things, these items on the center rack? Is your oven temperature correct? Are you using a thermometer? And what are you baking, particularly the cakes and cookies on? So thank you for that question.
