Question:
A few months ago I made chocolate cupcakes, iced them with a pink frosting. I tried to have some and today I see they have faded to a weird beige colour. Any idea why?

Answer:
I'm guessing, Hilda, that you used natural food coloring, which is not as vibrant as the chemicalized ones, and they do fade. And you made these a few months ago, and I'm thinking that if you made them a few months ago, I'm thinking that they are in your freezer, and I think it's just a time situation. So maybe the next time, don't ice all your cupcakes. Keep your components separate, and that might help. And then when you pull the icing out of the freezer, and maybe have to re-whip it, I don't know what kind of icing you made Add some more color, or add the color at that point, and that should be a solution.
