I'm having trouble with measuring. Can you share any tips?
Answer
So I'm not sure what you're specifically referring to, but I will give you a couple of tips. If it's liquid, you're going to use a glass cup that has all of those measurements on it so that you know if you have a quarter of a cup, that that's going to be two ounces, and when you have the measuring cup, you're always going to look for both of the measurements that they give you. They will sometimes give them in ounces and sometimes in milliliters or sonometers. So you have to be aware of that. The other thing is if you're going to dry mix, you want to use that beautiful set of four cups that you got somewhere where there's a cup, three quarters of a cup, a half a cup, a third of a cup, and a quarter of a cup. And that will make your dry ingredient measuring much, much better. I'm trying to think of any kind of sheet that would be helpful to use, but I will also say that reading the label of a container, so in other words, if it called for a quart of stock, vegetable stock, that you would read it and see that it was 32 ounces, and if it said 973 milliliters, you would also know that that was a quart. But just make sure that you have good measuring spoons, that you have good measuring cups for dry and liquid, and I think that that would be helpful for everyone. But that's a great question because if you're new to a kitchen or new to different and new recipes, having the right ingredients and the measurements is the most important thing. That was a great question, so I really appreciate that.
