Should mushrooms be washed?

Answer:
but the answer is no they should not be washed. Remember that mushrooms are about 90% liquid. To begin with so they don't need to have any added moisture when you want to clean them. Just dust them off with either a soft facial brush or just a kitchen towel just brush brush brush and they will get sparkly clean for you. So I eat mushrooms every day. So I never worry about what they look like.
