Rouxbe Secures Maryland Approval for Apprenticeship Programs, Paving the Way for Nationwide Expansion

VANCOUVER, British ColumbiaAugust 23, 2024 Rouxbe, the leading online culinary school, has developed Required Technical Instruction (RTI) for the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified Culinarian and Certified Sous Chef programs, positioning itself at the forefront of apprenticeship training in the culinary industry. By leveraging Department of Labor (DOL) funding, Rouxbe aims to gain approval for these courses as official apprenticeship programs in U.S. states, providing valuable opportunities for both employers and employees.

Maryland has become the first state to approve Rouxbe’s apprenticeship programs, and as a Group Program Sponsor, Rouxbe will assist employers in establishing new apprenticeships with state funding that surpasses program costs. This creates a unique win-win scenario: employers can enhance the skills of their workforce without incurring additional costs, while Rouxbe benefits from increased revenue through state-funded initiatives.

“We are thrilled to see Maryland leading the way in recognizing the value of our apprenticeship programs,” said Scott Samuel, Vice President of Culinary. “This initiative not only supports culinary professionals in advancing their careers but also strengthens the industry by providing accessible, high-quality training.”

As Rouxbe continues to expand its apprenticeship offerings, the company remains committed to working closely with state agencies and employers nationwide to support the development of skilled, credentialed culinary professionals.
